1. Assessment & Setup

• We start by inspecting the glove’s leather, stiffness, and structure to determine the ideal break-in method for your glove’s material, size, and position.
   

2. Leather Softening

• Conditioning Spray or Water Submersion: We carefully spray the glove with a professional-grade conditioning solution—or fully submerge it in water when needed—to soften and relax the leather fibers for shaping.
   

• Youth Glove Option: For younger players, we offer a glove steamer treatment to create a softer, more flexible leather that’s easier to close and control.
   

3. Lace Preparation

• All primary knots are untied and stretched to protect the laces and allow the glove to flex freely throughout the process.
   

4. Hinge & Flex Creation

• We hand-work the leather to establish natural hinge points at the heel and along key flex zones—ensuring a smooth, effortless closing motion.
   

5. Pocket Forming

• Using a glove mallet or weighted ball, we shape the pocket to your preferred depth and style—deep for transfers, shallow for quick plays, or customized to your position.
   

6. Targeted Softening

• Stubborn or stiff areas are smoothed with a glove hammer, breaking down tough leather spots and creating a uniform feel throughout the glove.
   

7. Relace, Adjust & Set

• We retie knots, adjust lace tension, and set the glove’s shape for optimal structure and responsiveness.
   

8. Dry, Condition & Finish

• The glove is air-dried, then treated with professional-grade conditioner to lock in moisture balance and flexibility, leaving a soft, supple, and durable finish.
